Our Liberal Arts curriculum

Our Liberal Arts curriculum is an essential part of our students’ education

Liberal Arts, History and Philosophy

The study of Liberal Arts helps students learn about culture and ideas. They discover more about themselves and their role in the world, understanding who they are as Zambians, Africans, and global citizens, as well as their rights and duties.

By working together and researching, Crucible students reflect on their values and how they can help the different groups they belong to. They learn to discuss, debate, and think critically about the world, bringing together ideas from different experiences.

Crucible Lusaka works with local arts and community groups to teach this subject, through projects or regular lessons. We welcome groups that want to collaborate and create new opportunities for our students.

Liberal Arts is not formally tested by Cambridge.

When we understand ourselves and the world around us, we understand what we are capable of.
— Vaughan Lewis, College Principal
